Pam and I are currently developing our marketing strategy, but not most exciting news but nonetheless very necessary.  We are planning a mail shot  to hit half the schools in England in January 2013.  There will be special country packages of our educational materials available as an extra incentive.

More excitingly we are booked for a return trip to The Gambia on 30 Nov..  This is a business trip although we are taking our spouses and 4 others with us. This is essentially a buying trip where we shall re-stock with the resources for the African Locality Resource Pack.  These have been selling well recently indeed we currently have a bulk order for 30 for one of our re-sellers.  No doubt we shall find time to meet many of our old friends and contacts.  We shall go to the Timbooktoo Bookshop in Bakau to see how sales of Fatou’s First Day are going on.  We will of course spend time with the real Fatou and her family and we hope to return to The Gambia College, Brikama.  Mohammed and Faks are eagerly awaiting us, well they would be if they ever looked at their emails!  We shall be researching some extra places to visit especially concerned with the history of slavery in The Gambia so that our teacher groups can add a history resource to their geography, environmental, citizenship and global dimensions.

Our consultancy work in schools is also growing and we are doing the last minute bits and pieces for a inset day at Foxyards Primary School, Dudley.  We have supported the phase leaders by helping them plan their term’s topics and tomorrow is an evaluation day to see how they have responded to what we have offered, so it is fingers crossed!
