Amazon Rainforest Locality Resource Pack

The Amazon Rainforest Locality Resource Pack contains 10 artefacts and 6 forest products from central Amazonia. The Amazon Rainforest Locality Resource Pack is used to support work on the Amazon River and Brazilian Rainforest and the Caboclo River People. This is perfect for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 work in both Geography and Citizenship. 

Our Amazon Locality Rainforest Resource Pack includes lots of wonderful things:

 

  • approx 6 bags of seeds collected from the rainforest (these vary but typically include Acai, Cinnamon, Annato and other local spices)
  • assorted nuts including the Brazil Nut and Brazil Nut pods (Officially called Amazon Nuts!)
  • assorted local Musical Instruments including monkey drum, whistle, pan pipes, reed flute and rattles (the children can play with these)
  • a carved balsa wood toucan or parrot
  • 3 a3 poster photographs of the rainforest
  • A cut out sloth
  • A build it yourself 3D box rainforest

Please Note: The Amazon Locality Rainforest Resource Pack can be used with the current national curriculum and the forthcoming new primary curriculum.
